Coastal Home — Architectural Clarity, Warm Wood, and Modern Vintage Layering
As lead designer, this project encompassed the full interior scope, including custom kitchen design, architectural detailing, finish selections, and furnishing direction. The design emphasizes continuity between structure and interior experience, allowing light, proportion, and material expression to shape the atmosphere of the home. Vaulted ceilings and generous glazing expand spatial volume and maintain a strong connection to the surrounding landscape, while white oak doors, inset baseboards, and hemlock window trim establish a disciplined architectural rhythm. Acacia flooring introduces warmth and cohesion throughout the interior.
The custom kitchen integrates Bosch and Thermador appliances within clean-lined millwork designed to support both visual clarity and daily use. Furnishings combine mid-century vintage pieces with contemporary elements, creating balance between patina and precision. Sculptural lighting, textiles, and curated artwork contribute texture and variation without overwhelming the underlying structure. The resulting environment feels composed yet relaxed, shaped through careful attention to proportion, material interplay, and spatial flow.
